How do I sign up for YTidy?
Click the "Sign in with Google" button on the homepage. YTidy uses your Google account to access your YouTube subscriptions securely.
Is YTidy free to use?
Yes! YTidy is currently free to use. Premium features are coming soon and will include Watch Later, Smart Folders, and unlimited favorites.
How do I create my first folder?
Go to the Folders page and click "Create New Folder". Give it a name, choose a color, and start adding channels by dragging them into the folder.
Can I import my existing YouTube subscriptions?
Yes! Click "Load from YouTube" on the Subscriptions page to import all your YouTube subscriptions automatically.

What are Smart Folders?
Smart Folders automatically categorize your channels based on content type. For example, all gaming channels go into a Gaming folder automatically.
How does Watch Later work?
Premium users can save videos to watch later by clicking the clock icon on any video. Access your saved videos from the Watch Later page.
Can I rate my subscriptions?
Yes! Click on any channel and use the star rating system to rate from 1-5 stars. This helps prioritize content from your favorite channels.
What is the channel limit per folder?
There is no limit to the number of channels you can add to a folder. Organize as many channels as you want!
Can I export my data?
Yes! Go to Settings and use the Export feature to download all your folders, subscriptions, and preferences as a JSON file.
🔧 Troubleshooting
Why am I seeing a quota exceeded error?
YTidy uses the YouTube API which has daily limits. If you see this error, wait 24 hours for the quota to reset, or sign in with Google to use your personal quota.
My subscriptions are not loading. What should I do?
Make sure you are signed in with Google. If the problem persists, try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache.
Videos are not playing. How can I fix this?
YTidy displays video information but videos play on YouTube. Click on any video to watch it on YouTube.
How do I enable dark mode?
Go to Settings and toggle the Dark Mode switch. Your preference is saved automatically.
My folders disappeared. What happened?
Your data is stored locally. If you cleared your browser data, you may have lost your folders. Use the Import feature if you have a backup.

How do I upgrade to Premium?
Go to Settings and click "Upgrade to Premium". You can choose between monthly ($10) or annual ($84) billing.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel anytime from the Settings page. You will retain access until the end of your billing period.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes! We use Stripe for payment processing. YTidy never stores your credit card information.
Can I change my email address?
Your account is tied to your Google account. To use a different email, sign out and sign in with a different Google account.
How do I delete my account?
Contact support@ytidy.com to request account deletion. We will delete all your data within 30 days.
🔒 Privacy & Security
What data does YTidy collect?
YTidy only accesses your YouTube subscriptions and stores your folder organization. We do not track your viewing history or personal information beyond what is needed for the service.
Is my data shared with third parties?
No. Your data is never sold or shared with third parties. We only use it to provide the YTidy service.
Where is my data stored?
Your folder organization is stored locally in your browser and optionally synced to our secure cloud servers if you enable cloud sync.
Can I use YTidy without signing in?
No, sign-in is required to access your YouTube subscriptions through the YouTube API.
How can I download my data?
Use the Export feature in Settings to download all your YTidy data in JSON format.
